Denmark has 99% internet penetration and one of Europe's most mature digital infrastructure markets. Copenhagen hosts 30 data centre schemes in the capital region — Digital Realty, STACK Infrastructure, AtlasEdge, and Colt among them — with strong connections into Nordic and Baltic markets. And Denmark sits at the junction of the North Sea cable corridor: COBRA Fiber (Netherlands-Esbjerg), IOEMA (UK-Netherlands-Germany-Denmark-Norway), and GlobalConnect's forthcoming Kattegat cable (Sweden-Denmark, 2027) all converge here.

The Connectivity Landscape

TDC Nuuday has split into two separate entities: TDC NET (digital infrastructure, fibre, 5G) and Nuuday (service provider, consumer and business brands including TDC Business). TDC NET connects 1.5+ million Danish addresses with fibre and provides nationwide 5G. Telia Denmark was sold to Norlys by Q1 2024 — Norlys is now integrating Telia's former Danish network assets.

Colt expanded its IQ Network to Copenhagen, offering up to 400Gb optical wave and 10Gb Ethernet services, particularly focused on financial and data-intensive sectors. As Colt's number one global partner, we deliver into Copenhagen's data centre ecosystem with pre-validated engineering and real-time SDN capability. GlobalConnect provides DIA in the Nordics with guaranteed performance to 10Gbps and is the landing party for several key Danish subsea cables.

Copenhagen data centres offer direct cloud on-ramps to AWS and Azure. The city is positioning for larger-scale builds: Esbjerg is attracting hyperscale interest based on available land and power, while Copenhagen maintains the density of colocation facilities and carrier choice relevant for enterprise buyers.

What We Deliver in Denmark

We start with your requirement, not a carrier list. Single circuit or dual? Active/active or active/passive resilience? Is carrier diversity a hard requirement? What's your lead time? Any vendor preferences? Once we understand that, we'll recommend the right 3–5 options for your specific address in Copenhagen. Our Nexus platform covers 2.5 billion buildings globally — we know what's serviceable before we make a recommendation. For Nordic programmes combining Denmark with Sweden, Norway, and Finland, we manage the full footprint as a single engagement. Lead time: 35 working days via Colt on-net in Copenhagen.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happened to TDC?
TDC split into TDC NET (infrastructure owner, fibre + 5G) and Nuuday (service provider). Enterprise customers deal with TDC Business under Nuuday. The network infrastructure is unchanged — just a different commercial structure.

What happened to Telia Denmark?
Telia sold its Danish operations to Norlys by Q1 2024. Norlys is integrating those assets. If you're on a Telia Denmark contract, it's now a Norlys contract.

Which carriers do you use?
We don't work from a fixed panel. We qualify your requirement first — resilience model, carrier diversity, lead time, vendor preferences — then recommend the right 3–5 carriers for your specific address in Copenhagen. TDC, Colt and Arelion are among the options in Denmark, but carrier selection is driven by your requirement and location.

How long does delivery take?
35 working days via Colt on-net in Copenhagen.
