Business Internet & Enterprise Connectivity in Monaco
Monaco Telecom holds a concession monopoly on fixed-line internet in the Principality — and was acquired by Salt Mobile in September 2025 for $731 million.

Monaco Telecom holds a concession monopoly on fixed-line internet in the Principality — and was acquired by Salt Mobile in September 2025 for $731 million. That acquisition means Monaco Telecom is now part of Salt's European portfolio, which may shape its strategic direction, though the monopoly arrangement and operational structure are unchanged for now. We have a direct relationship with Monaco Telecom and can deliver enterprise connectivity within the Principality.
The Connectivity Landscape
Monaco Telecom is the only fixed internet provider in Monaco. 100% fibre coverage for businesses was achieved from early 2022, with Fiber Pro services up to 10Gbps. There is no alternative fixed-line carrier for enterprise DIA.
Backhaul from Monaco moves in three directions: east along the Riviera coast to Italy; west along the Riviera coast to France; and north to Paris. These routes traverse infrastructure that was acquired by Colt as part of their $1.8 billion acquisition of Lumen's EMEA network assets (completed November 2023). Colt's EMEA expansion means the backhaul routes from Monaco data centres into France, Italy, and Paris now sit within Colt's European infrastructure — relevant for multinational clients requiring consistent carrier standards from Monaco into their wider European network.
Monaco hosts three data centres: MonacoDATACENTER (Telis Group), Monaco Telecom DC3 (ISO 27001, 100% uptime guarantee, opened 2015, designed for corporate and government data), and Larvotto Supérieur. Monaco Telecom DC3 provides direct access to the Europe India Gateway (EIG) submarine cable — the same cable co-owned by Kalaam that we use for Gulf routing. An unexpected connection between Monaco's connectivity infrastructure and our Middle East capability.

Lead time: 45–55 working days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Monaco Telecom still the only fixed internet provider?
Yes. Monaco Telecom holds the concession monopoly on fixed-line internet. Their acquisition by Salt Mobile in September 2025 hasn't changed this.
What happened to the Lumen EMEA routes from Monaco?
Colt acquired Lumen's EMEA network assets for $1.8B in November 2023. The backhaul routes from Monaco into France, Italy, and Paris are now part of Colt's European infrastructure.
How long does delivery take?
45–55 working days.
Is Monaco relevant for Middle East connectivity?
Monaco Telecom DC3 connects to the EIG (Europe India Gateway) cable — the same cable co-owned by Kalaam that we use for Gulf routing. An interesting convergence of our ME and European relationships.
